Yoan Gouffran was delighted to prove Newcastle United's matchwinner at Aston Villa.

Gouffran insists he and new striker signing Loic Remy can play in the same team.

"Loic did a great game and my job is done because the gaffer told me when I came on the pitch that I can score," he told nufc.co.uk.

"So it was great for me."
