Newcastle midfielder Dan Gosling is to play in a friendly on Wednesday as part of his comeback from a cruciate ligament injury. The 20-year-old joined the Magpies from Everton in the summer with the injury and has yet to play for the Toon.
But he will line-up against SPL outfit Hibernian at the club's training ground hoping to impress new boss Alan Pardew.
He told his club's official website: "I've been looking forward to a game for a few months now so I can't wait. Hopefully I'll get a good run out and we'll take it from there.
"The snow has halted my progress lately, but I feel good now.
"Hopefully I can get a good run-out on Wednesday, push on from there and see what the gaffer's thoughts are."
