Gosling happy to bid his time at Newcastle

Newcastle United youngster Dan Gosling is aware he will have to wait for his chance at St James' Park.

The 21-year old is back fully fit from injury and finally made his home debut last weekend against former club Everton when he replaced the injured Yohan Cabaye.

Gosling knows that there is plenty of competition for places at Newcastle and is happy to remain patient as he forges a career under Alan Pardew.

"There's a long time [to go] in my career," he said.

"There are internationals here who are playing ahead of me and we sit third in the table at the minute, so the gaffer has obviously been reluctant to change the team, and quite rightly so.

"There has just been no way in, really, so you just keep working hard on the training field and pushing each other and when the chance comes, you've got to be prepared and ready."
