Dan Gosling says his first-choice is to stay with Newcastle United.
The 22-year-old has endured a frustrating spell at Newcastle since joining from Everton, with injuries disrupting his time at the club.
Since returning to the fold, Gosling has struggled to break into the starting line-up due to the fine form of Yohan Cabaye and Cheick Tiote, although he hopes next season will be different.
"I just want to get more time on the pitch," he told the Evening Chronicle.
"We all knew we had quality here but none of us we're going round saying that we'd be in the top four at the end of the season. We always just aimed for top 10 and as the season progressed we were still up there and it went to the Europa League.
"We'd have been very happy with it if we'd been offered it."
He added: "I still love it here. It's a great club to be at.
"This club will always attract players but hopefully my opportunity will come."
