The agent of Dan Gosling is confident the Newcastle United utility will get his move to Crystal Palace.

Palace have struck personal terms with Gosling, though nothing is yet agreed with Newcastle.

David Hodgson told the South London Press: "I had a long chat with Alan [Pardew}. He happens to be a big Palace fan and he was positive, saying he will do everything he can to make it work for Dan to join Palace, because they are close to his heart.

"He said he would be delighted from a selfish point of view if he kept him but knows that he needs to play."
