Gordon: Sunderland players dare not be late for training

Craig Gordon has revealed how Sunderland's players leave a full hour early for training in order to avoid the wrath of manager Roy Keane.

"I wouldn't like to upset him too often. Everything is done at the right time and on time. I think everyone leaves an hour early for training in case there is traffic. You wouldn't want to be late," Gordon told the Guardian.

"He [Keane] sees Sunderland as among the top clubs in the league and, with his willpower, he will make that happen. There is no reason why we can't have a real shot at Europe over the next few years."
