Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon is ready to risk his club career to play for Scotland in tonight's World Cup qualifier against Holland.
Gordon, 26, has a painful thigh strain and is struggling even to KICK the ball. He hasn't trained for the past two days and faces a last-gasp fitness test ahead of the Dutch D-Day.
Scotland boss George Burley said: "Craig will be assessed before the game. Craig felt his thigh after the Stoke game. It settled down but he aggravated it on Saturday and we'll have to see how it is.
"He played well on Saturday but has had a reaction. If he was fit it would be a big bonus for us but we'll just have to wait and see."
