Goodbye? Man Utd decide to cut ties with Ibra

Manchester United will not offer Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new contract, according to Sky Sports.

The Red Devils have an extension option on Ibrahimovic's contract that they will be able to activate when the Swede's contract finishes at the end of this month.

However, it is understood that United will not take up the option.

The 35-year old is said to be keen to re-sign at Old Trafford, but that may have to do something with the £19m he reportedly earned last year.

United are also cautious about committing to a player who suffered a serious knee injury in April.

Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals in all competitions last season for United.
