Fears that Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty would miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury have abated following a scan. A statement on the club's official website described Lafferty's blow as a "significant injury" but added that the Gers expect him to return in early May.

That could see the 21-year-old play a role in the Scottish Premier League title run-in, which concludes on May 24.
