Gonzalez eyeing big 2012 with Seattle Sounders

Leo Gonzalez says he is ready and raring to go for the 2012 MLS season with Seattle Sounders.

The 31-year old former Costa Rica international defender managed just 16 appearances last term because of a groin injury but says he is back fully fit and looking to contribute for a massive campaign for the Sounders.

"I feel more comfortable and more fit," he said. "I've been working the whole off-season in Costa Rica. My body and my fitness are great.

"I think I'm very accustomed to the style of play here in the United States. I've been here four years and I'm used to it. In Costa Rica, the style is also more technical, but I'm used to how we play in the United States and I do fine with it.

"My objective is to take the MLS Cup and be in the starting 11, so I need to work hard."
