"I'm glad to put it all behind me and, in truth, I was always fine," Goncalves told the Daily Record.

Goncalves also explained frustration was behind his decision to storm out of the club after his substitution against Rangers.

"As a player you always want to be involved and you are not happy when you play bad or things do not go the right way for the team," added Goncalves.

"When you are not happy with your performance or the performance of the team it can be very frustrating.

"I'm like that and I try my best to make the right decision and to have good discipline. But I think everyone was frustrated."
