Gomis not planning on premature Swansea exit

Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis has revealed that he has no intentions of leaving the Liberty Stadium in the near future.

Gomis initially found it hard to adjust in the Premier League and expressed his desire to leave the Welsh club in January.

But since the departure of Wilfried Bony to Manchester City, the French striker has been an important part of Garry Monk's side by chipping in with valuable goals, including the brace in the 3-1 win over Hull City last week.

"You never know what might happen but I am not considering my future," he said.

"I am very happy at Swansea. It is true I went through a difficult time but I learned and I have had time to adapt.

"Mentally it was a good experience and it is good for me and family having gone abroad. I am now very happy in Swansea and in my head I will be there next year.

"There is no European competition but there is no real shortage and I am happy to have discovered the Premier League.

"I want to start next season normally because when I arrived the adjustment was difficult."
