Mario Gomez is happy being fully fit for Fiorentina's preseason.
Gomez's first season in Italy was plagued by a knee injury.
"What does success mean? It means achieving your targets," Gomez said. "In spite of the disappointment I wouldn't say missing out on the World Cup squad was a failure.
"You can't predict certain things. Now, my target is to get into top form for the start of next season in order to help my club reach our targets.
"In effect, I am a new signing for Fiorentina."
