Heurelho Gomes is convinced he can win over Tottenham fans.

He explained: "I am convinced I can become a crowd favourite.

"The difference for me is in Holland I just had to come into action maybe two or three times a game but in England I get a lot more to do.

"At Spurs, I have to make 10 or 12 saves a game - and that means the possibility you make a mistake becomes bigger. For the moment, I am trying to live with what is happening.

"But I am convinced the experience I had at Eindhoven, where in the beginning it was also difficult, is enough for me to be convinced that I will make the same kind of progress at Spurs.

"I needed time to adapt to the style in Holland and now I find the same kind of thing in the Premier League."
