Robin van Persie concedes that the Golden Boot award is a nice little addition to the Premier League title he helped Manchester United claim this season.
In his first season at Old Trafford since crossing from Arsenal, the Dutch striker scored 26 goals as United clinched their 20th premiership and said the individual award was simply an enjoyable extra which he would prefer to share with his teammates.
"The Barclays Premier League means everything and the Golden Boot is like a little bit extra but they should make 25 of them because we do it together," he said after the thrilling 5-5 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, in which he scored.
"Today it was a great cross by Antonio Valencia and an easy goal.
"We did this together and I'm so happy with how everything went. This is a great team and, hopefully, we can go for even more trophies.
"I'm sure we can."
