David Sullivan and David Gold are convinced they've made a competitive offer for West Ham United.
The Sun says the former Birmingham owners have tabled a £46million offer for the debt-crippled club.
It's understood £20m will go straight to the Hammers' Icelandic owners and another £10m to help boss Gianfranco Zola's January spending.
An insider said: "The two Davids have made a big move and it's as good as anything the owners can expect to receive.
"However, the great thing is the club will be saved from having to sell prize assets like Robert Green, Matthew Upson and Carlton Cole in January."
