West Ham United co-owner David Gold insists victory at Fulham did not save manager Avram Grant's job.
Gold insists winning against their London rivals means a lot more than just preserving Grant's role as manager.
Gold said: "Do I think the win saved Avram's job? No, because I don't think that was the issue. We have to get out of the relegation zone and I think he took us a step towards that goal.
"We have been near the bottom of the table since the beginning of the season and I must tell you it is one of the worst places to be in football."
