The group stage of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup is now complete with all quarter-finals fixtures set. Tuesday night saw the final Group C matches played with Canada conceding an injury time goal to Panama to miss the chance to move into the knockout stage because of a 1-1 draw whilst USA finished second in the group thanks to a 1-0 victory over Guadeloupe.
For the Canadians, Dwayne De Rosario netted from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute and it seemed as though Stephen Hart's men would notch up a much-needed win until Luis Tejada netted in the 91st minute to maintain Panama's unbeaten run and giving them top spot in the group.
In the second of the matches at Kansas City's LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, USA scored in the ninth minute through Jozy Altidore to score a narrow win over Guadeloupe to book their spot in the quarter-finals where they will take on Jamaica in Washington on Sunday.
The other quarter-finals matches will see Costa Rica take on Honduras and Mexico versus Guatemala in East Rutherford on Saturday whilst the Panama versus El Salvador match will come after USA v Jamaica.
