Head coach Miron Bleiberg has been watching Bosnich in his return to football in the last two pre-season matches and has been impressed.

The fact that the Mariners are only interested in Bosnich for a five-game deal has opened a window of opportunity for Bleiberg and the A-League newcomers, although they are not yet in a position to approach players until they get their official licence.

Bosnich has come with recommendation from former team mate Paul Okon who looks to be heavily involved with Gold Coast as an assistant coach.
