Gold Coast United keeper Moss in doubt with suspected ankle ligament damage

Gold Coast United goalkeeper Glen Moss will find out today if there is any serious damage to his injured ankle.

The New Zealand international sustained the injury in Sunday's 3-2 win over Central Coast Mariners after making a string of top-class saves and in danger of missing this Friday's vital clash with Adelaide United at Hindmarsh Stadium.

There were initial fears that Moss had suffered a broken ankle but United media manager Neil Favager ruled that out.

"It was as swollen and as sore (yesterday) morning as it was (Sunday) night, so that's probably not a great sign," Favager said.

"We never did believe there was anything broken but it doesn't mean there isn't ligament damage or something like that."
