Gold Coast United will host English Premier LeagueFulham in July. The new A-League club will face the Cottagers at their home ground, Skilled Park, on July 9 - just three days before Brisbane Roar face Scottish champions Celtic at Suncorp Stadium.

"We have agreed in principle to play Fulham. It's going to be a tremendous way for us to introduce ourselves to supporters on home soil," said Gold Coast CEO Clive Mensink.

"We hope they will come in droves to watch two very good teams and enjoy Socceroos teammates Jason Culina and Mark Schwarzer facing off against each other.

"We'll have our top squad for the Fulham game. We feel it's the sort of quality fixture which will grab the attention of the Gold Coast public."
