Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg has rubbished rumours that chairs were thrown at half-time of Saturday night's disappointing 4-0 loss to Brisbane Roar.
Bleiberg did admit that defender Dino Djulbic and striker Shane Smeltz did have words but insists that there was no chair throwing going on.
"They were arguing and arguing until I told them enough, and they kept arguing, and I again told them enough," Bleiberg said.
"Smeltz asked Dino what happened at the back, and Dino told him he wasn't marking up front.
"But chair throwing, that's complete exaggeration."
Bleiberg said his side remained united despite the aberration on the eve of the finals series.
"We are a team with pride," he said.
"We got belted twice ... I've sent the players for two days rest for all of us to re-assess the situation."
