Gold Coast United are in pursuit of Shaanxi Chanba midfielder Jonas Salley. The new A-League franchise are keen to add the former Adelaide United man's grunt and size to their midfield and the potential move is expected to occur once Salley's contract expires in October.
United coach Miron Bleiberg has been chasing the Ivorian-born Australian citizen for a few years now but due to contract circumstances has been unable to get his man.
Salley's agent Lou Sticca is in negotiations with Bleiberg and the club expects a commitment in the next week.
The 27-year old joined Shaanxi on a one-year deal and is currently enjoying some solid form with the Chinese Super League club.
