Gold Coast United are showing interest in signing former Brisbane Roar defender Craig Moore.
The Australian international left the Roar last week and is now being linked with a move to United after the World Cup in South Africa later this year.
Gold Coast coach Miron Bleiberg said the possibility of signing the ex-Rangers man had potential.
"He was Brisbane's marquee player. He already has a house on the Gold Coast at Hope Island, but we already have a marquee player and leader in Jason Culina," Bleiberg said.
"Culina is three, four, five years younger than Moore. The question I ask is `do I want a new leader? And how would Moore, if he did sign with us after the World Cup, fit into our leadership group?'
"These are questions that need an answer before we as a club take the next step in any discussions with Craig Moore."
Moore is also being linked with the Gold Coast's fellow A-League newcomer North Queensland Fury.
