Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg believes the A-League's pay structure needs to change to attract higher quality forwards. "It is a bit of a problem in the A-League because strikers are very expensive all over the world and you need special talent," Bleiberg told the ABC.

"In the A-League I suspect that sometimes the defence are stronger than the strikers because the A-League's current payment structure can't afford to pay strikers what they need and they are going to play overseas," he said.
