Defender Dorin Goian insists the Rangers players are absolutely determined to put a smile back on the faces of the clubs supporters this weekend.
The reigning Scottish champions host Old Firm derby rivals Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday and the Romanian centre-back sees it as the perfect opportunity to give something back to the fans who have been struggling since the club fell into administration.
"All week we have been preparing for it and when the game comes we will give our maximum.
"If we play well then hopefully we can make our fans happy.
"It's not been an easy time for them but this is a chance for us to give them something to smile about.
"They are the most important people throughout everything.
"It's been a difficult period. A difficult year in the history of Rangers. But we have to think positively and do our best.
"The league is over for us, sure. But this is a chance for us. If we can beat Celtic it will be a huge victory.""It is an important game for us. It's Old Firm. It's the derby. We want to win it for our fans," he said.
