Rangers have loaned Dorin Goian to Italian club Spezia Calcio after he said he would stay in Glasgow.
The Romanian defender, who wanted to leave Ibrox earlier this summer, yesterday said that he had been surprised by the standard of Scotland's Third Division and was keen to remain with Rangers as they look to gain immediate promotion following their fall into liquidation.
But it has been confirmed that Goian has signed a season-long loan deal with Serie B club Spezia, returning to Italy 12 months after he departed Palermo for Rangers.
