Goian backtracks on Rangers - I won't play in the Third Division

Dorin Goian is seeking a Rangers exit after the club was demoted to Scotland's Third Division last week.

The Romanian defender previously suggested that he would remain at Ibrox no matter what happened with the Scottish Football League's meeting to define which competition they would play in but he has since retraced those comments.

A vote late last week has placed Rangers' newco into the fourth tier of Scottish football prompting Goian to seek a new home to continue his career.

"I am not playing at the fourth level - there's no question of that," he told Romanian media.

"I am on my way back and I will meet the president of the club and I will learn more.

"My agent has already spoken with other teams but nothing has been agreed yet.

"I would have stayed if it was the First Division - but not this."
