Diego Godin is delighted with his move to Villarreal.

The 21 year-old Uruguay international rejected interest from Juventus to sign with Villarreal this week and revealed: "[Sebastian] Viera and [Diego] Forlan spoke very well of this club, as much in terms of the football as the status.

"I have not had any doubts as soon as the proposal came to me.

"I am very grateful to Villarreal for their trust in me and hope to be able to respond fully."
