Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has stated that his side possess a winning mentality.
Spurs faced frustrations for long periods in their FA Cup third-round clash against a defensive Aston Villa side on Sunday but after ramping up the pressure, it was left wing-back Davies who got the breakthrough for Spurs in the 71st minute of the game when heading home a cross from Georges-Kevin N'Koudou.
Following the hard fought 2-0 victory, Davies insisted that Tottenham did not feel the pressure despite failing to score early on and insisted that he was always confident of Spurs earning victory due to his side's high expectations.
Davies told BBC: "It came at a tough time in the game.
"We were startling to get sloppy but we got it and then just had to see the game out.
"It's not much pressure. We expect a lot of ourselves for the standards we've set. We have to have that winning mentality."
