Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl has reaffirmed hopes of signing outright Andreas Christensen.
The Dane is kicking off the second season of his two-year loan at Gladbach from Chelsea.
After their impressive first-leg win in the Champions League playoff against Young Boys this week, Eberl admits any fresh cash arriving from qualification will be put towards buying Christensen.
"We want to keep Andreas, we're absolutely firm in this commitment," Eberl stated.
Gladbach have held several meetings with Chelsea this summer about a permanent deal for the young defender.
