After securing Bundesliga survival with a 2:1 aggregate win over VfL Bochum, Borussia Monchengladbach have become active on the transfer market. Gladbach have secured the signing of Sweden international Oscar Wendt (25).
As bild.de reported, Wendt who has been capped 14 times for the Swedish national team, will join on a free transfer from Danish champions Copenhagen FC. He has made 137 appearances in which he scored five goals. Wendt will be competing for the left- back position with Gladbach captain Fillip Daems (32).
Furthermore, US international Michael Bradley (23) will be making his loan spell at Aston Villa permanent, despite only 31 minutes of playing time in his six month long loan spell. The deal has not been made yet as the clubs still need to agree on the transfer fee.
The 23 year old, caught the eye of numerous Premier League clubs during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. A deal never materialized though, until January, when he was loaned out to Aston Villa.
