Borussia Monchengladbach chief Dieter Hecking has eased talk of re-signing Andreas Christensen next month.

The Chelsea defender has been linked with a new loan move to Gladbach in January.

But Hecking says such an addition is no longer a priority after Matthias Ginter had successful facial surgery.

"I assume that Matthias Ginter will be available again after the winter break. Therefore, we do not have the compulsion to think about a transfer," said Hecking.

Christensen has stated he expects to leave Chelsea if his playing chances fail to improve this month.
