Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl hasn't given up extending the loan of Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen.

The Dane's father has declared he expects Christensen to return to Chelsea at the end of the season.

However, Eberl told Express: "Whether it is the right way for Andreas to go back to Chelsea in the summer, or whether we can with Chelsea once again talk about another loan - these are talks, which will run into the spring.

"We are in a very good exchange with Chelsea.

"We would like to continue working with Andreas."
