Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl admits talks are continuing with West Ham over Reece Oxford.

Hammers boss David Moyes cut short Oxford's loan over Christmas and recalled him to London. However, the defender has since told the Irons he wants return to Gladbach.

Eberl said, "Another loan is more likely than a purchase.

"But we must be patient in the talks.

"We are with West Ham in the discussion. I have hope that it will work."
