Giuseppe Rossi was thrilled with his goal in Fiorentina's 4-0 win over Europa League opponents Belenenses.

Rossi played a full 90 minutes and topped it off with his first goal in 501 days.

“It was a wonderful night for the three points and the style of football we showed," Rossi told Sky Sport Italia.

“On a personal level I am happy that I played 90 minutes and also for the goal, which arrived at the end of a good team move.

“Playing like this the goal would arrive sooner or later. I am happier for playing a full 90 minutes at a good level, to be honest.

“I thank the Coach for the faith he showed in me today. I am doing well with the Coach and he makes sure everyone feels like they are part of the group."
