Dear readers, as you know the transfer window has been closed for a little while now. But this is not exactly a correct statement...
In fact, the international rules allow clubs to sign free agent players. And the race has started to find good bargains, to fix last minute problems with an experienced player who, for many reasons, is finding himself without a contract.
AMELIA'S NEXT MOVE
Sunderland, for example, needs a goalkeeper to take the place of the injured Vito Mannone, until he is at the least fully recovered.
Marco Amelia had gone there to have a trial and to find an agreement, but their meetings didn't produce a good ending; so, the Italian keeper, who last season joined Chelsea with Jose Mourinho (Do you remember my news?) is still free. And Bologna too are thinking about him, because they have a similar problem as Sunderland, with their first choice Antonio Mirante injured.
But Bologna are thinking of sticking with Angelo Da Costa Jr and the young Mouhamadou Sarr.
What will Marco Amelia do? Hard to say now, maybe he will stay at the window, waiting for a good chance like the one he had last season with Mou. If not, he will return to his business.
MARTIN CACERES UP FOR GRABS
Another name who has garnered a lot of talk during the transfer window is Martin Caceres.
Juventus have officially thanked him, including the defender among the "Magnificent Eight" who have won five Scudetti in a row, two Coppa Italia and three Italian Supercups: his contract expired on June 30 and hasn't been renewed because of his not so good physical condition.
When it seemed he'd fully recovered, Roma and Napoli tried to take him: but neither club decided to offer a contract. Maybe they were doubtful about his real physical shape and condition? In these days there are new rumors about Inter Milan being interested: let's see what will happen with him.
THE MYSTERIOUS HART CONNECTION FOR TORO FANS
There's been lot of talk about Joe Hart in this period: it seems we have gone back in time, when Italian football was able to take important players - even those not regarded as top clubs!
Torino supporters are really amazed by the fact that England's National Team goalkeeper has chosen to join their club - and they have forgiven him even for the mistakes of the last match.
The fans think he can take their club back to the golden age, even because of a really special connection: Lexical, romantic and substantial at the same time.
When Torino supporters speak of their club and of themselves, they use the motto "Vecchio Cuore Granata" that means Old Hart Garnet (their shirt colour). Hart, like Joe Hart!
