Giulianelli: Lafferty Leeds terms agreed; Man Utd hesitate on Anderson price; Cole MLS rethink; Behind Iturbe confusion

Next week Leeds United will announce their new striker: Kyle Lafferty.

The former Palermo player, now at Norwich, will sign a six month loan deal with the option to buy and for Kyle to sign a two-year permanent contract.

There's been a lot of rumours in the last days about the Northern Ireland international player and possible new clubs: the last one was Red Star Belgrade. But Leeds United have won the appreciation of one of the key players in the first qualification for the European Championship by his national team, Northern Ireland.

Sources from the financial department of the Yorkshire club revealed a leak about the news and that the agreement was found on the 30th of December.

MAN UTD HESITATING OVER FELIPE ANDERSON PRICE

Felipe Anderson is still a Manchester United target, but there are a lot of doubts about the price asked by Lazio for the player.

The Italian club asked £35 million for the Brazilian attacking midfielder and English newspapers are asking if he is actually worth all that money? The impression is that until Louis van Gaal's position is settled (in one way or another), the deal won't be closed.

The alternative name for the Red Devils is James Rodriguez, but it would be a more difficult deal, even because of the interest from Arsenal for the Real Madrid player.

The wonder boy of Brazil 2014 doesn't have the space he wants at Real and seems to have shown some unrest, even if in the last matches he is receiving more chances in the starting XI of the Merengues.

FATHERHOOD FORCES COLE RETHINK

Ashley Cole could stay in Italy!

I have told you he was close to LA Galaxy and courted even by Aston Villa; but his newly found fatherhood, with an Italian girl, could push him to find a new solution in Serie A, where now he is still a man off the roster at AS Roma. The two clubs from Genova, Sampdoria and Genoa, seem to be interested in the former English national player.

BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE ITURBE DEAL

Three Premier League clubs are chasing the Italian national team striker Simone Zaza: West Ham, Norwich and Watford, but the Hornets are pulling back from the race. In fact, they are close to taking the free agent Emmanuel Adebayor - a very experienced signing for the Premier League new boys.

Watford are still disappointed and burned by what has happened with Juan Manuel Iturbe. While the Argentine player seemed to be convinced to sign for the Hornets, Roma was talking with Bournemouth to convince them to better the Watford offer. And they worked it out: so, today, Iturbe is officially a new Bournemouth player.

Roma and Bournemouth were both very interested in the talented goalkeeper Marco Sportiello from Atalanta: what if the Iturbe deal was a sort of green light for the Giallorossi? We will see...
