Giulianelli: EXCLUSIVE - Arsenal target Draxler: Walcott for Van Dijk; Conte in Mahrez talks

Three days at dawn, three days and the transfer window will end. Many deals have already happened, much much money has moved from club to club and the prices, in the era of the new rich owners from the Middle East and the Far East have risen. Maybe too much.

WENGER'S TWO LATE TARGETS

Let's focus on two clubs from London, Arsenal and Chelsea, to understand what we can expect from them in the last days of this window.

The situation at Arsenal is a bit worrisome after the heavy defeat of 4-0 suffered at Liverpool: Arsene Wenger has raised his voice asking for new players to bolster his squad. From today to the end of August he wants two more players for his Arsenal. The names of his two targets are Virgil van Dijk and Thomas Lemar; the French winger has been very very close to Arsenal for many weeks, but his purchase is subject to the sale of one or two players, this was the decision of the ownership.

DRAXLER ON WENGER'S RADAR

Alexis Sanchez has been pursued by Manchester City for many weeks and now he seems very close to joining Pep Guardiola and the Citizens; if Arsenal will take £70m from his departure, they are ready to invest that money in Lemar. If something should go wrong with Monaco, the second option comes from Ligue 1 too and his name is Julian Draxler.

WALCOTT FOR VAN DIJK

Talking about VVD, the deal with Southampton for the Dutch defender is not easy, because the Saints don't have the urgency to sell, so they are free to wait for the right offer and, in the meantime, can afford the luxury of even keeping him out of the squad. But Arsenal have the right key to convince Southampton: Theo Walcott has been a target of the Saints for a long time and they will ask Wenger to include the winger in the deal.

Wenger will let Shkodran Mustafi move to Inter Milan only if he can bring van Dijk to Arsenal. He is also trying to offload some fringe players like Kieran Gibbs before bringing anyone else in. Lucas Perez is very close to going back again to Deportivo La Coruña for €14m.

An update on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's new contract negotiations. Talking about betting odds, at the moment we are at 50/50. The player's agent is holding things up asking for too much money. What's certain is that the player will sign a new deal only if the demands will be met.

ABRAMOVICH HAPPY WITH CONTE

Let's take a look at the Blue side of London. There have been many rumors about a possible exit of Antonio Conte and the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.

I don't think that Conte will leave Chelsea, especially after the two important wins in a row; but his outburst in recent days when he declared it impossible for him to work with just 11-13 players and that, in these conditions, it's normal to have some tension with the club is perfectly clear. It's part of his job, it's part of his responsibilities to incite the ownership to give him the most competitive squad they can.

With those words he's asking for new players, he's asking for a squad that can win the Champions League and Roman Abramovich knows this well.

CONTE TARGETS MAHREZ

Antonio Conte has spoken with Riyad Mahrez, after the deal with Roma has failed due to the player's preference being to remain in the Premier League.

Chelsea are ready to offer €50m to Leicester and very good conditions to Mahrez. The deal is not easy, especially because time is running out, but there are some chances to seal the deal.

Today it could be an important day in the negotiations. Let's see...
