Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is set to start his first game of the season in the EFL Cup clash against Reading on Tuesday night, according to the Daily Mirror.
The French striker has only made a handful of substitute appearances this season and has been recovering from a toe injury for the past month.
Following the goalless draw against Middlesbrough, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that he could feature against the Royals: "I don't know. We'll see.
"Physically he has no problem, he's still not completely there but he's better and might be in the squad on Tuesday."
Giroud has made just four appearances for the Gunners so far this term.
