Arsenal must attack Champions League opponents Schalke this week, insists Olivier Giroud.

French striker Giroud made it clear that his team will stick to their principles when they play at the Veltins Arena.

"To defend and not play is not Arsenal," said Giroud. "That isn't our game. We will continue to play our way on Tuesday. That is what the boss wants us to do.

"Schalke will defend strongly and it might be difficult for us to break them down. But we have to keep going forward. We will have to show our mental qualities and keep the dynamic that we showed at Reading."
