Olivier Giroud insists Arsenal have been boosted after their Champions League dumping.
The Gunners suffered agony as they beat Bayern Munich 2-0 on the Germans' own turf - but still went out of the competition on away goals.
Speaking to arsenal.com after the game, the French striker said: "We showed a lot of great things tonight so we can believe.
"We were so close to the qualification so we are so disappointed but we can be proud of ourselves. We made the people who trust us and follow us proud.
"The first leg was not very good for us and the third goal we conceded at the end of the game to Mario Mandzukic killed us. Tonight it makes the difference.
"We almost played the perfect performance tonight because we scored early in the game and scored the second one.
"It was an amazing finish for us but Bayern did the job after. They lost a lot of time and it was a little bit too late.
"But overall we had a good reaction after the first leg.
"It's good for the future and we have to continue and focus because we have a big game in three days against Swansea.
"It will be a hard game but we need the win to reach Tottenham and Chelsea. We need to carry on."
