Olivier Giroud was left with a bittersweet feeling following Arsenal's 3-3 draw against Liverpool on Wednesday night.
Giroud scored a fantastic brace at Anfield but his contribution was not enough to help Arsenal to the three points after they conceded a 90th minute goal to Joe Allen.
The French striker was pleased with his overall display against Liverpool but at the same time, expressed his frustration at missing a couple of good opportunities throughout the clash, especially when he failed to properly connect with a Theo Walcott cross in the first half.
"It has been a special game for me. I scored the second goal, but after that I missed a chance but Theo did well and I knew he was going to do that but I saw it at the last moment and couldn't tuck it in, so I was a bit frustrated," said Giroud.
"But I was pleased to get the third goal that I hoped would win the game but it wasn't enough.
"But that's it, a good performance but we could have done better."
