Olivier Giroud is confident he has the "weapons" to succeed at Arsenal.

The hitman cost Arsenal £13million and will team up with fellow new-signing Lukas Podolski.

Robin Van Persie's decision means Giroud will be relied on to score goals for Arsenal this season and he believes he is up to the challenge.

Giroud said: "I have the weapons to do well here. I will need some time to adapt but I am not worried about that.

"I like scoring goals and Arsenal create a lot of chances, so if I do well, then we will do well."
