Giovani dos Santos has opened the door to staying at Tottenham.
The Mexico winger is encouraged by the appointment of new manager Andre Villas-Boas.
"I've not spoken to the new trainer," he said, "I'll wait until the Olympics is over and then we will talk.
"I have to see what he thinks and then we will decide that's best.
"It could be good for me. There could be opportunities now that the club has a new trainer. I have one year on my contract and I can't do anything until that has run out.
"Until now it's been frustrating for me. It was a big disappointment that Harry Redknapp didn't play me and I don't know the reasons why as I almost never spoke to him.
"But I would like to stay in England and the most important thing is that I play. It could be that there is a space if Modric leaves but I don't know exactly."
