Former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan has picked 'ginger fella' Paul Scholes as the best player he played with during his career.

When asked to name his best ever team-mate by Fox Sports Radio, the Uruguayan ace said: "Paul Scholes.

"The ginger fella was 30 metres from goal, he grabbed [the ball] and hit it at goal like it was nothing, leaving everyone surprised."

Forlan joined United from Independiente in 2002 before leaving Old Trafford for Villarreal in 2004 after an indifferent spell with the Red Devils.
