Gillingham have signed 19 year old Argentinian stopper Paolo Gazzaniga. The former Valencia keeper has penned a two-year deal after impressing during a trial period at Priestfield.
Boss Andy Hessenthaler told the club`s official website: "He can become a very good keeper in the future and looks likely to give Ross Flitney a big challenge for the number one jersey.
"He's an exciting prospect and he could work out to be a bit of a gem.
"It's a no brainer, it's not a risk to the football club, he's 6ft 5in and has all the attributes to be a very good keeper. He is definitely one for the future."
