Gillingham boss Mark Stimson has threatened his senior players with the chop after the club's humiliation at Southampton on Saturday. The Gulls conceded four goals for the second away game in succession and Stimson branded the 4-1 reversal at Saint Mary's "embarrassing".
"A few of my boys have been told they've got to get back into their game otherwise they'll be on the sidelines watching," Stimson told BBC Radio Kent.
"I feel for the fans because they turned out in their numbers." He added: "Possibly like me, they were sitting there embarrassed.
"With the third goal, how two of their players broke and two of mine didn't recover I don't know."
