Gilberto Silva insists Premiership champs Manchester United were NOT better than Arsenal.

The midfielder told Arsenal TV: "Overall you cannot say that Manchester United were the best team. What made the difference were the last results and they finished in a better position.

"We know our quality and what we are capable of. We are stronger than them and next year we need to do much better than what we did this season.

"We will enjoy our holidays and think about what we have done and come back next year even stronger.

"We were very close in the league but things happened to us which were very difficult and that is why we lost first position in the league."
