Gilberto has dedicated his first Premiership goal against West Ham to his Tottenham teammates.

"The goal made me very happy because after PSV I felt bad, I made a mistake and Farfan scored the goal," Gilberto told the Spurs website. "I wanted to thank the players because after the PSV game they said 'come on Gilberto, keep your head up' and that was very important for me.

"A few days later and I played again, scored my first goal for Tottenham and I'm very happy.

"When I scored I wanted to run to the bench, I wanted to run to the fans but the players quickly came to me. They helped me so much after PSV and that goal was for them."
